Bev
Hurst
Bev started Lein Kennels and K9101 training center in 1974 and
over the years has become a well known, well respected dog trainer and breeder.
Her experience includes many different breeds, in several venues. Not a "One
Dog Wonder" trainer, her experience includes working with a veterinarian
for 4 years, conducting dog training classes for the Prescott-Russell Board of
Education 1984 -1990 as well as working for "Center Canine des Ruisseaux"
in Quebec, as head trainer & general manager for 2 years. Bev graduated from
the Canine School of Science with top honors in canine psychology and structure
and used this knowledge to carefully select puppies not only for the breeding
program at Lein Kennels, but for the prospective puppy purchasers. It is important
that the personality of the puppy matches that of his/her new owners. It is equally
important to produce dogs with correct structure and movement.. Bev was also a
"Professional " all breed handler for several years and has handled
and titled many different breeds in conformation. Bev also judged several conformation
matches and Specialties and these expedience helped "train" her eye
to correct structure and movement. Bev
believes that when a trainer or instructor stops learning from other accomplished
trainers and competitors, they fall behind in the new and effective training methods
and for this reason Bev has kept current thus enabling her to pass this information
onto her students. Amongst her many accomplishments as a breeder
and trainer.
Bev will be specializing in Agility
training in 2010.
Check out her accomplishments with Cutter-Cricket-Ripley-Arrow-Vegas
under the Australian Shepherd link below. Programs are designed to fit individual
dogs needs. Private lessons are also offered. Many of her students are earning
titles in this field both n CKC and AAC venues check out our CURRENT
