We are proud to have bred and shown many
Scottish Terriers, West Highland White Terriers and Kerry
Blue Terriers in both Obedience and Conformation. To date we
have over 35 titles in these divisions. Terriers are loving companions,
although feisty at times with other dogs. They are really "people
dogs" at heart. They will defend the family they love and are
loyal to.
The Scottish Terrier is a dog with
a lot of character and sometimes just too much to have around young
children. The Westhighland White Terrier &
the Kerry Blue make wonderful pets for families as they seem
to just love children.
Kerries do not shed coats like other
dogs. They have a somewhat curled coat and can vary in colors from
blue black to silvery blue. The Westhighland and the Scotty
also are non-shedding with a straighter hard coat. This three
breeds require brushing and combing to prevent matting. A groomer
will help you maintain the appropriate look as well
as keeping the coat at a manageable length. "Show" coats
require a great deal of maintenance while "pet" grooms
are easily managed.
Obedience training is highly recommended
when you own a terrier, because of their strong temperament and
character traits.
Terriers need to know that you are
the boss, or THEY WILL BE BOSS.
