The
most important part of educating your puppy is to build a solid
foundation. This foundation will enable the puppy to understand
"cue words" that will let the puppy know when it is
right and can expect to be rewarded, or when it is making an
error and can expect "no reward"
Communication
skills are vital to the building of a solid "
foundation".
"Voluntary
behavior" training builds strong foundations and enables
your dog to learn quickly as he/she actually "offers"
the behavior in order to be rewarded for his/her efforts.
Obedience builds confidence and respect. Obedience teaches the
skills necessary for good manners and social interaction with
people and other dogs.
Positive reinforcement: Food Praise Toys or Play Time are essential
elements of teaching. These are your puppies pay cheque..
