Rest in Peace my wonderful boy. I am sure you are chasing frisbees.
Your spirit will live on in my heart. My super companion and competitor.
Always ready to do "whatever' as long as he was with me.
He was such a character and I miss him each day.
His pik below, that grin and the light in his eyes says it all.
In his prime he was an amazing agility competitor.
His sense of humour often left us laughing and you knew when you go tto the start line tht if he had that look in his eye that the run was going to be pretty much "his course design."
He accomplished a lot in his life but we had to retire him at 8 yrs of age, (he did not want to ) but he did not have a hip joint in the socket and as he aged his hind quarters became weaker and then finally the spine was causing him pain. It was not easy to help him across the "rainbow bridge" but in the end it was the right thing to do for a dog that was incredible and deserved dignity and peace.
Now he can chase frisbees and jolly balls with his friends "pain free"
"They will not go quietly,
The dogs who`ve shared our lives.
In subtle ways they let us know
Their spirit still survives.
Old habits still make us think
We hear a bark at the door.
Or step back when we drop
A tasty morsel on the floor.
Our feet still go around the place
The food dish used to be,
And, sometimes, coming home at night,
We miss them terribly.
And although time may bring new friends
And a new food dish to fill,
That one place in our hearts belongs to them..."
And always will.
